#1: INTRODUCTION TO EUROPEAN MODELING Height and Weight Analysis (charts included) Basic Pivots Models Stance (2 hours) Week #2: INTRODUCTION TO BASIC MODELING HAND POSITIONS Sitting Correctly and Gracefully Advanced Pivots (2 hours) Week #3: SKIN AND FACE CARE (Discussion of skin types to establish a personal skin care routine) The Pedestal Stance Series Entrances and Exits (2 hours) Week #4: MAKE-UP A complete make-up session including personal wear, TV, stage and photographic make-up. (charts included) (2 hours) Week #5: MODELING TECHNIQUES FOR: Daywear, evening, and sportswear; coordinated with feet and hand positions, as well as hair and make-up projections. (2 hours) Week #6: PHOTOGRAPHY I Composite and portfolio orientation: Why these are the most important tools of the professional model, and where your image fits into the field of photographic modeling. Advanced French Pivots (2 hours) Week #7: PHOTOGRAPHY II Photographic testing with staff photographer (2 hours) Week #8: PHOTOGRAPHY III Review and Discussion Contact Sheets Advanced modeling techniques for: jackets and accessories, walking European turn and Military Pivot (2 hours) Week #9: CAREER OPPORTUNITIES A complete look into different career opportunities available in fashion modeling: Runway, Salon, Designer, Trunk, Window, Promotional, Mannequin and Mechanical How to write and prepare a fashion show commentary (2 hours) Week #10: WARDROBE Personal Wear and how to achieve a model's look that compliments the individual's size and image. Review commentary cards and begin preparations for FASHION SHOW GRADUATION. How to pack a model's totebag. (2 hours) Week #11: MOVEMENT ANALYSIS Runway, Designer and Pivots Box. Discussion of video tapings, castings, TV commercials and radio voiceovers. (2 hours) Week #12: MODEL'S BUSINESS PROCEDURES Discuss voucher books, billings and contracts Dress rehearsal for graduation (2 hours) Week #13: GRADUATION FASHION SHOW Awarding of diplomas Parents, friends and staff invited. This class will meet one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday. Students should be on the premises promptly at 5:45. Course
